Volkswagen Touareg Challenge Reaches Top 10 in iTunes Charts

Volkswagen Touareg Challenge reached the top ten in the iTunes charts with 1,000,000 downloads and has proven to be an effective marketing tool, with an average playing time of eight minutes, 3,500 test drive requests, and an average player age of 35.

Volkswagen continues their successful mobile marketing strategy with Volkswagen Touareg Challenge. Over its first weekend, Volkswagen’s fourth iPhone ad game reached the top 10 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the USA, Canada, France, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Russia, Poland, Japan, Korea, South Africa, Mexico, and numerous other countries and has already recorded 1,000,000 downloads after just one and a half weeks.

With that, Volkswagen Touareg Challenge has surpassed the previously most successful title Volkswagen Polo Challenge, which registered approximately 500,000 downloads in a comparable time. However, Volkswagen Touareg Challenge scores best in the area of CRM.With an average playing time of eight minutes, the title has outdone its predecessors by far. Furthermore, to date over than 3,500 players have used the integrated function to arrange a test drive and more than 50,000 have used the integrated dealer search. It is especially pleasing that the average age of the players, according to the information they provided, is 35, and thus the game has struck a chord with precisely the intended target group. 2XL Supercross Launches for the PC

2XL Games, the company behind the hit game ATV Off-road Fury and MX Unleashed, today announced the release of their new motocross racing game for the PC, 2XL Supercross. The new game offers a new rhythm-based, off-road racing experience that’s fun to play, but adds some challenges as well. 2XL Supercross is also available on the Apple App Store.

There are some hidden features inside the game, like gaining secret jump combinations by mastering the physics of a specific jump. Also, Motocross champion Stephane Roncada designed custom Supercross and Freestyle tracks in this high-speed excursion.

2XL Supercross comes with three levels; Time Trials, Practice and Racing. You can also choose three different types of motorcycles to race on — the 125cc, 250cc and 450cc bikes.

One of my favorite features of the game is the online element — even through the game is played through Steam, there are statistics and rankings live on the web when you play.

Flight School Tests Brings Flying To The iPhone and iPod touch

MobileBits, an independent game developer and publisher on the App Store, today announced the availability of Flight School Tests, a game for the iPhone and iPod touch that lets users control an aircraft with their fingers and attempt to avoid crashing with other flying objects.

For each aircraft type there are five tests the user has to pass. The game mechanics are easy to learn, but it is still hard to become an elite pilot, according to MobileBits.

Flight School Tests combines fun, with gaming with flying objects, and levels to beat. There are six different “domains” in the game.

Paper airplane test
Model aircraft test
Helicopter test
Airliner test
Spacecraft test
Elite test

If you pass five tests, you master the domain. If you master all the domains, you’re considered a master pilot in the game.

Audi A1 Beat Driver Launches On Apple App Store

Earlier this week, Audio launched their brand new iPhone and iPod touch game, Audi A1 Beat Driver, available exclusively for the Apple App Store for free.

Audi A1 Beat Driver is a rhythm based driving game delivering free new music from up and coming rock bands around the world including La Roux, The Rakes , Lo-Fi-Fnk and Torpedo. In total there are 9 free music tracks to choose from.

Audi describes the game;

In the game you steer your Audi A1 to collect the markers and avoid the hazards as you speed through a kaleidoscopic 3D world of sound and color. Increase your score by collecting the bonus icons and don’t forget to clear your multiplier gauge (which builds up as you collect more points) to boost your multipliers and achieve the highest score possible.

The app comes with a number of features: get your name on the global Audi A1 Beat Driver leader board; challenge other players’ high-scores; post your scores to Facebook&Twitter; or alternatively choose to find out more about the stunning new Audi A1– The next big Audi.
